Don't Judge Others

Don't criticize or judge other people because you do not know what they have been through.
Respect others for who they are...

Your Future, Your Passion

The best advice I can give young people when it comes to their future is to find something that you are passionate about and that makes you happy, because making a big paycheck won’t be fulfilling if you dread going to work every day…

Love and Respect

Love and respect do not automatically
accompany a position of leadership.
They must be earned.

Love is a Gift

"Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love."
-Leo Buscaglia

Helping Others Will Lead You To Success

When we think of business leaders, we think that helping others should be a natural continuation of their role. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come as easy as one may think. We too often get wrapped up in daily operations or our own issues to give others the time and help they need. Making time in your busy day to help others will help you too.

"It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed."- Napoleon Hill

12 years after the towers fell: My 9/11 Story

We live on Long Island just 30 short minutes from NYC on a good traffic day. I had just dropped my son off at school, he was 6 and next stop was my daughter’s first dance class, and she was 3. I was sitting in the waiting room chatting with the other moms and my pager went off, and then again and again. I had one of those data pagers that you could get headline news updates on as well as pages. The reports started pouring in about the first plane and the World Trade Center. I was shaken and very very nervous. I took my daughter from class and headed to the office my husband and I shared a few miles away. When I got there they had the news on one of the TV’s, we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. Scared and unsure I got back in the car to get my son from his school, all I wanted was for our family to be together. When I got to his school, it was apparent that I wasn’t the only one who had an extreme sense of urgency to have our children safe in our arms.

By day’s end, four terrorist attacks would claim almost 3,000 lives and strip away our sense of security. For the days and weeks to come we were glued to the TV, hoping, praying they would find more people still alive.

We all know someone who was lost or that was there that day or we know someone who knows someone… Not one person can say that the fateful, day 9/11/2001 didn’t affect them in some way…
12 years later, are we safer than we were before? Well, we are certainly more skeptical  and suspicious than ever before. All we can say for certain is no one's life will ever be the same. I pray every day for my children, now 15 and 18, for their future and the future of our great country.

Our endless thanks go out to the NYPD, PAPD (Port Authority Police Dept), FDNY, Emergency responders, and countless civilians that sacrificed so much to be at ground zero day after day month after month...And to their families who were with without their loved ones during those efforts. I personally know many of these selfless people and am proud to call them friends...

What about you? Where were you Septmeber 11, 2001? Please share your thoughts and comments with us...

“Too many of us are not living our dreams,
because we are living our fears”-Les Brown

It’s not easy taking that first step, but once you’ve done it you’ll wonder what took you so long in the first place.
Life is too short not to be happy!

At one time or another we will all be in a fearful situation. How you choose to handle it, will show the person that you are or the person that you want to become.
